Who they are

Tabeaux Cellars is a family owned and operated boutique winery focusing on single-origin wines that would reflect the unique terroir of the Sierra Nevada foothills. Tabeaux Cellars began in 2016, 27 years after the owners began Boggs Market Farm - an organic and sustainably-powered fruit farm perched above the shining waters of Lake Tabeau in Amador County, California.

Client Goals

Tabeaux Cellars approached us to create a wine bottle design for their 2018 Primitivo that pays homage to its traditional roots of their Sierra Nevada Foothills, while incorporating a vintage flair. They wanted a label that captures the essence of classic winemaking, with elegant typography and rich, earthy colors that evoke a sense of history. Our team focused on crafting a design that not only highlights the wine's unique character but also stands out on the shelf. We were thrilled to collaborate with Tabeaux Cellars to bring their vision to life and celebrate the heritage of their exquisite Primitivo!

Custom Illustration

To create a custom wine packaging design for Tabeaux Cellars, we crafted an illustration that pays homage to the winery’s traditional roots and rich heritage. Inspired by the rustic beauty of Amador County and the winemaking legacy, our design captures a timeless and earthy aesthetic. The label features a vintage-inspired illustration that evokes the spirit of the Old West, with a bold, sturdy figure leaning against a wine barrel, surrounded by scenic natural elements. This approach not only reflects the winery’s values but also creates an inviting visual that resonates with customers looking for authenticity and quality in their wine experience. The result is a packaging design that stands out on the shelf while honoring Tabeaux Cellars’ commitment to tradition.

For Tabeaux Cellars, our team undertook a thoughtful, multi-step process to design product packaging that would both honor the winery’s heritage and appeal to contemporary wine enthusiasts.
